Initiatory Degree Meeting Minutes

1.    The attendance register was signed by all 47 attendees:

DeMolay Candidates

Mason, John, Junior, Morgan, Sebastian, Niel, Chael.

Adult Workers

Norman Tarasoff, Jeff Young, Alvin Laudinez, Jose Macalino, Raoul Gongora, Nelson Prado, Jana McDougal.

 

Initiation Team

Liam, Avery, Joemar, Seanne, Grayson, Alex, Erik, Marcus, Anthony, Joseph, Ruel, Eric, Benjamin, Riley, Daniel.

 

Other Guests

2.    Kevin Thompson welcomed everyone. Instructed Master Councillor Liam to commence with the Initiatory Degree.

3.    Upon completion of the degree ceremony, Kevin Thompson presented Norman Tarasoff, Advisory Council Chairman with letters temporary. Kevin talked about the experience the candidates just participated in. Reminded the audience that the degree work was done in a closed Chapter Room. All audience members are sworn to secrecy of the proceedings.

4.    Master Councillor Liam educated the audience about Chapter Room procedures with respect to the use of his gavel.

5.    Comments and questions from the floor were requested by Master Councillor Liam. Job’s Daughters of AB were allowed to enter the Chapter Room and gave commentary on their Bethel activities. Norman Tarasoff thanked the Alberta initiation degree team for their work.

6.    The MW Grand Master of The Grand Lodge of Saskatchewan, Patrick Davis, gave an address. A very fitting address directed to the newly initiated DeMolay members.

7.    The meeting was adjourned at 4:00 PM. Refreshments were served in the Lodge lower level.

 The workshop was well attended and filled with activities. It was an excellent time for the Alberta Chapters and the Saskatchewan Chapter to spend time together and have some fun. The main hall. Upon entering the hall we were greeted by the hoodie distribution team.  The resident Camp Manager instructed everyone about rules and procedures (how to flush the toilets) during our stay at Camp Warwa. Some happy DeMolay! The sleeping quarters for the DeMolay boys . The common area of the sleeping quarters. A football game ensued shortly after they claimed their bunks.   On Saturday, Flannery provided instruction for some Jiu jitsu. She practices "no gi" Jiu jitsu.
